Dental caries is completely preventable and yet is still one of our most common diseases. Caries is not just a disease of childhood but occurs throughout our lifetime. At least 9 out of 10 working-age adults have experienced tooth decay in their permanent teeth (CDC). Although we may have seen a decrease, the prevalence of dental caries is still a widespread dental problem. Each life stage has its own unique caries triggers, issues and treatments. This course will explore caries prevalence at each life stage, prevention management strategies including non-restorative caries treatment for all your patient populations, children, adults and older adults.

After this course attendees will be able to:
  • Understand the caries prevalence for children, adults, and older adults
  • Apply the ADA Clinical Practice Guidelines for the non-restorative treatment of caries for their patients
  • Better manage patient’s caries risk based on their demographic
Recommended Audience: Dentist, Hygienist
