Composite usage is the most conservative way to replace defective, decayed, or unaesthetic teeth. Composite is incredibly versatile and can be used in anterior and posterior clinical situations. The esthetic and functional outcome is uncompromised when following the instructor's four parameters. In this workshop you will place a starburst bevel, use a putty matrix, layer composite to build in polychromicity, and finishing and polishing to rival porcelain.

Posterior techniques will touch on the placement of a sectional matrix and incremental layering technique It is one thing to understand and see composite techniques, but implementation is the next phase. Learn this additive technique at a level seen mostly through our master ceramists and veneers. Come see, have fun and practice new composite skills!

In this course attendees will:
  • Develop polychromicity through layering techniques and use of tints
  • Practice finishing and polishing techniques to create a natural luster and polish
  • Use simplified armamentarium for posterior composites
This course is also offered on Friday, 1:00 - 4:00 pm, 534RH
