Francesca Failla, DMD Dr Failla is an AAP Board Certified Periodontist in Nashua,NH, where she works full time in her private practice. She is currently a clinical instructor at Tufts, University, Department of Periodontology. Her DMD is from Boston University. She worked in Italy in her family's multispecialty practice before moving to the USA in 2016. She was a clinical instructor and lecturer for the Dental and Medical Department at “La Sapienza “ and Tor Vergata”, Universities in Rome, Italy. She also has a DDS and a three year certificate in Chirurgia Speciale Odontostomatologica from Italy University of Rome La Sapienza. She is an active member of AAP, ADA and New Hampshire Dental Association

In this course, the current materials and techniques in socket preservation will be evaluated, including the pros and cons of bank versus autogenous materials, and the possible role and use of extracted teeth. The use of extracted teeth as an alternative to exogenous regenerative materials. The use of autogenous material with minimally invasive procedures.

After this course attendees will be able to:
  • Review the different materials and techniques currently used in socket preservation
  • Familiarize themselves with the concept of healing following different regenerative materials
  • Recognize a new possible use of extracted teeth as an autogenous material
  • Evaluate which cases are appropriate for each technique/material choice
  • Implement the use of the newly available technology
