Jane Soxman, DDS is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a seminar instructor at Allegheny General Hospital and Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She maintains a private practice in Allison Park, PA.

A myriad of topics for treating the pediatric patient are included in this course. Management of caries with nonsurgical techniques, mandibular incisor crowding and space maintenance, along with techniques for extraction of primary molars, local anesthesia and reattachment of enamel fragments are included. The course ends with discussion of parental presence for treatment.

After this course attendees will be able to:
  • Identify nonsurgical caries management techniques with evidence-based treatment
  • Determine appropriate timing and intervention for mandibular incisor crowding
  • Understand appropriate use of space maintainers
  • Improve technique for extraction of primary molars and injection technique 
  • Explain how to reattach enamel fragments for class II fractured incisors
  • Gain better understanding of parental presence for treatment
