With the increasing number of children that are diagnosed with ADD/ADHD and or dealing with anxiety, poor sleep, and mouth-breathing, how can dentistry change this trajectory in growth and development of a child? Early intervention and screening for sleep disordered breathing is the first step to promoting health for the growing child. There are many ways that a dental provider can support a child who is struggling with sleep, breathing and daily tasks that are essential to cognitive health, memory and brain development.
