This course will present a review of the clinical features and management of oral herpetic infections, mucosal and cutaneous lesions of VZV infections, oral and cutaneous lesions of enterovirus infections, oral HPV-related lesions as well as the impact of HPV vaccination with both benign and malignant conditions of the head and neck. 

Speakers

After this course attendees will be able to:

  • Describe the early clinical features of primary and recurrent oral herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection and potential management strategies 
  • Identify the clinical features of primary (chickenpox) and recurrent (shingles) varicella zoster virus (VZV) infection 
  • Review the clinical features of common enterovirus infections, including herpangina and hand-foot-and-mouth disease
  • Recognize the range of lesions associated with both low- and high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) subtypes
