Preparation and Prevention of Medical Emergencies in the Dental Office
This course will provide a practical approach to the management of common medical emergencies that arise in the dental office. Attendees will also learn how to prepare an office with the appropriate equipment and drugs for the management of medical emergencies. A hands-on component will allow the attendees to handle emergency equipment and supplies and teach them how to actually apply and use in emergency situations. This review will be relevant and practical for the entire dental team.
- Identify the most common medical emergencies in the dental office
- Recognize the necessary equipment and supplies for preparing a dental office for medical emergencies
- Demonstrate how to put together an in-office team to manage emergencies and utilize emergency equipment
