Kathy Ells, Kathy is experienced in transitioning more than 1,500 dental practices over the last 25 years. Providing solutions for lending for practice acquisitions, startup's, renovations, partnership buy-in/outs and refinancing. Beginning her career as an accountant has laid the foundation for providing financing solutions and by continuing her education obtaining a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and a Masters in Organizational Leadership (MSOL). Kathy has lectured over the last 25 years at local, regional and national dental events.

Ronald Perry, DMD, MS is a full time professor who received his BA from Boston College in 1984, a DMD from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 1988 and graduated with his M.S. in Dental Research from Tufts University in 1999. He has authored over 50 articles and 150 abstracts dealing with a variety of dental topics such as bonding, composite wear, prosthodontic materials and technology, whitening, practice management, and dental laboratory communication, he lectures internationally. Dr. Perry is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the Academy of Dentistry International. He was the Director of the Gavel Center for Restorative Dental Research at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He is currently the Director of International Student Program in the Department of Comprehensive Care at Tufts University. Dr. Perry is a Product Evaluator for various dental companies and publishes regularly in various trade journals. Dr. Perry is an associate in private practice in Brookline, MA.

Or are you thinking of selling your practice and need assistance in presenting the office for sale, determining a purchase price, and gathering the required information to transition the practice?

In this course we will discuss financing and building your team of advisors, in addition to what to expect after the transition.

After this course attendees will be able to:
  • Learn how to find a practice for sale and present yourself as a qualified candidate
  • Review cash flow, find a lender and walk through due diligence
  • Prepare your practice for sale, set an asking price and transition the practice
  • Identify a patient base and develop projections, budget if you are starting a practice
  • Preparing the office for sale, set an asking price, and gathering the required information to transition the practice
  • We will be walking through how to obtain financing and setting up your team of advisors, in addition to what to expect once you have transitioned into practice ownership
