Paul Levi, DMD is a diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology and an associate clinical professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He maintains a private practice in VT.

This course is to describe the evolution of periodontal therapy from 1962-2024. Many examples or surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapy will be presented. The influence of dental implant therapy will also be discussed.

After this course attendees will be able to:
  • Understand the foundation of modern-day periodontal therapy and how the present-day understanding of the etiology of dental diseases has evolved
  • Compare past periodontal therapies and the effect of research in understanding present-day therapies
  • Know that there are still many questions unanswered regarding periodontal and peri-implant diseases
  • Discover how much has changed with our therapies in the past sixty years
