Erin Breen, DMD obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University in Virginia. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine and subsequently completed her training in Periodontology with a Master of Medicine Sciences degree in Oral Biology from Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

Irina Dragan, DMD, MS is Adjunct Associate Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM), in the Department of Periodontology. She is a Diplomate and Examiner of the American Board of Periodontology.

TRENDS IN PERIODONTOLOGY AND IMPLANT DENTISTRY: A SUCCESSFUL MARRIAGE BETWEEN EDUCATION AND PRACTICE


This interactive course will allow attendees to review trends in the field of periodontology and implant dentistry, as presented by experts representing the 3 dental schools in the Boston area. A panel of 4 experts in the field representing Boston University, Tufts University and Harvard University as faculty and alumni will engage the audience in best practices to manage periodontal disease and implant therapy. The instructors will cover a variety of topics relevant to clinicians from periodontal regeneration, implant placement, site development, practice management, and many more.

After this course attendees will be able to:
  • Understand the advancements in the field of periodontology and implant dentistry and their applications in both settings: academic and private practice
  • Acquire an understanding of latest technical approaches in the field of oral regeneration and implant dentistry
  • Learn about the digital workflow: how to plan, execute, and evaluate a successful implant placement integrating digital technology in a meaningful way
