Dr. Kathryn Gauch graduated from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2023, where she earned her DDS and the Divisional Excellence Award in Operative Dentistry. Following dental school, she completed a general practice residency at the Boston Veterans Affairs Hospital and Harvard University. As part of her residency, she worked with the infectious disease team in the hospital, which inspired this presentation to bring awareness of antibiotic stewardship between medical and dental practitioners in order to provide the best care for patients.
