A “bombed out”, necrotic, and abscessed primary anterior tooth is not always cause for extraction. This course allows attendees to practice treatment options and MID for caries diagnosis, pulp therapy, and cosmetic repair of primary anteriors both with and without pulp therapy. Attendees will learn to perform full coverage composite crowns and Zirconia preformed crowns. Treatment is performed on typodont teeth with pulp chambers.
Speakers
In this course attendees will:
- Implement a caries detector dye for early intervention
- Review the factors for IPC v DPC
- Practice access and pulp removal on primary anterior teeth
- Use pulp medications to safely and non-toxically restore the health of the tooth and periodontal tissues
- Sample glass ionomer cements, bonding agents and composites that work on primary anteriors to restore strength
- Restore the pulpotomized tooth with composite crown formers and esthetic zirconia crowns
