The goal of this course is to enable the team member to competently undertake dental impressions in a clinical environment for a range of activities including whitening trays, study models, and mouth guards. At the conclusion of the course, attendees will understand the benefits of an accurate impression and the consequences of an inaccurate impression. This course will also demonstrate the proper technique for model pouring and presentation to the patient. Attendees will practice taking impressions with alginate and alginate substitutes on a typodont and the instructors will be available to troubleshoot any problems.
