graduated from the Middlesex Community College Dental Hygiene program in 2010 and worked in clinical hygiene for the next five years while she completed her MSEd at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine. In 2016, Maria transitioned into the role of Dental Hygiene Educator for the Department of Comprehensive Care at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine developing new curriculum within the Department of Comprehensive Care. Success of the CAMBRA pilot program resulted in a formative workshop that is now incorporated within the curriculum. In response to COVID-19, Maria co-created the virtual CAMBRA Competency Exam (CE) via Teledentistry in 2020. The virtual CAMBRA CE was the first virtual CE at any dental school in the US.

Maria now attends Fitchburg State University and seeks to be an OSHA trainer of General Industry. She teaches Dental Assisting at Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical High School while she raises her family in Lowell, MA.
