This course will address oral health disparities in marginalized communities, the importance of workforce diversity, and the impact of anti-DEI sentiment on health. The instructor will include recommendations for home oral care prevention strategies.
Speakers
After this course attendees will be able to:
- Discuss the key factors contributing to oral health disparities in marginalized communities
- Examine the current challenges in achieving workforce diversity within the dental profession
- Analyze the effects of opposition to diversity, equity, inclusion efforts, and legislation on the health of communities of color
- Provide a brief overview of the benefits of stannous fluoride in preventing oral health issues
