This course will help in understanding the basic principles of image formation of a panoramic radiograph versus a cone beam CT. It will highlight the indications of both modalities and guide how to make a choice based on patient’s needs. Critical role of imaging in diagnosis and treatment planning will be emphasized. Impact of medical/dental history on diagnosis will also be discussed. Case based examples will be provided to fulfill the course objectives
