CE Hours
Moderated by the co-lead of the MA HPV Coalition, and including medical and dental professionals, this panel of presenters will highlight keys to understanding and engaging in HPV prevention in the Community Health Dentistry setting. By examining current oropharyngeal cancer trends, HPV vaccination rates, and HPV-related health care disparities, providers will understand why HPV prevention in the dental setting is relevant to their scope of work. Providers will also review successful implementation of an HPV prevention program at a community health center in New Jersey, including workflows, interprofessional collaborations, and data collection. The presentation will conclude with sharing useful and practical resources from the DPH Office of Oral Health, CDC, and community organizations to assist in changes in practice to increase vaccination, improve health, and reduce cancer.
