Established to recognize volunteers who may already have served in several Core Committee Chair positions, including General Chair, and who continue to return to Yankee Dental Congress each year to help on a significant level and display long-term loyalty to the quality of Yankee. (established 1996 for 1998 award)
To recognize Yankee Dental Congress volunteers who devote a significant amount of time to Yankee with minimal formal recognition. Must have played an active role in Yankee for at least five years. Must not have served in a position higher than core committee chair.
The recipient will be any Yankee Dental Congress volunteer who is a spouse, partner, or guest. Recipient must have volunteered a significant amount of time to Yankee consistently for a number of years (a minimum of 5) and received minimal formal recognition for that effort. Nominations will be made by the Yankee Oversight Committee. Recipient will be approved by Board of Trustees and award will be presented at the Presidential Awards Ceremony during Yankee. Award does not have to be give every year
Clinician must be an ADA member and be supportive of Yankee Dental Congress as a volunteer. The clinician must have spoken 5 or more years at Yankee without honoraria or sponsorship. Nominations will come from the Yankee Oversight Committee. Final selection will be made by the MDS Board of Trusteesand the award to be given at the Presidential Awards Ceremony during Yankee. The prize is a $1000 scholarship in the clinician’s name to the dental school of his/her choice. The recipient may not be currently serving on the Core Committee. Award does not have to be given every year.
The award is given to an RDH that MDHA votes on – for outstanding service to his or her profession throughout the year.
The recipient will be any Yankee Dental Congress volunteer who is an assistant, hygienist, office personnel, or lab technician. The recipient must have volunteered a significant amount of time to Yankee consistently for a number of years (a minimum of 5) and received minimal formal recognition for that effort. Nominations will be made by the Yankee Oversight Committee. The recipient will be approved by Board of Trustees. Award does not have to be given every year.
The Elizabeth Ann Baer Dental Assistant Award will be presented yearly to a dental assistant who has contributed significantly to both the Massachusetts Dental Assistants Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society. To be eligible for this award, the assistant must have a minimum of ten years of cumulative membership in the Massachusetts Dental Assistants Association and ten cumulative years of practice as a dental assistant in the dental profession.View the Winners from each year | 2017 | 2016 | 2015 | 2014 |
