Mind-Body Professionalism
Professionalism is often conceived as a weaving of cognitive and experiential approaches in a way that seems straightforward. This unique course will introduce attendees to different kinds of cognitive and experiential approaches, namely the mind-body practices of meditation and yoga. Using an inquiry and evidence-based approach, this course will illustrate how the qualities cultivated through ancient mind-body practices may foster many of the principles and philosophies essential to the self-care and ethical practice of the dental professional. With an emphasis on the correlation to dentistry, participants will be guided through introductory mind-body practices.
